Condor will partake in Iraq‘s largest Oil & Gas event
Iraq Basra Oil & Gas is an opportunity for all investors to look out over a region in constant expansion and with immense potential for oil and gas production and reserves: Iraq is in fact in fourth place as crude reserves among OPEC countries and is second only to Saudi Arabia in terms of production.
Over the years, more than 1,300 companies participated in the event held at the Basrah International Fair Ground, while more than 80,000 professionals from the sector visited it. Numbers that, in its eighth edition, the Iraq Basra Oil & Gas organization wants to further increase by bringing together companies specializing in oil and gas production and processing operations, manufacturers of machinery, equipment and materials diversified for the industry and all possible interested stakeholders.

In fact, the Iraqi government is committed to supporting the oil and gas industry even more, undertaking initiatives aimed at promoting the growth and development of the sector, creating a favorable environment for foreign investors.
The objective is the further development of the oil and gas sector infrastructure in the country: to increase the already extensive network of oil pipelines to connect the extracted resources to the refineries in an even more capillary and functional way and to create new storage facilities, as well as to expand the ports.
The Basra oil terminal is the centre of these operations, due to its location in the south-eastern part of the country where 75% of the proven oil and natural gas reserves are concentrated, as well as its proximity to Kuwait and Iran.
